2025 marks the 150th anniversary of Georges Bizet’s opera masterpiece “Carmen”. Scandalous when it was first performed, Bizet sadly didn’t live to see it become appreciated. Ann Arbor Symphony broadcast

Tune in this Sunday at noon to hear our broadcast of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra concert featuring “Symphony No. 10” by Dmitri Shostakovich and “Overture” by Jessie Montgomery led by Conductor Earl Lee. The concert took place at the Michigan Theater and is hosted for 90.9 WRCJ by Ron Nolan.

2025 is the 20th anniversary of 90.9 WRCJ and would be the 150th birthday of conductor Pierre Monteux.
