The Dina Soresi Winter Concert Series at the Detroit Waldorf School

Dina Soresi Winter (1930-2021) was a charismatic voice in the promotion of both the Detroit Waldorf School and Tuesday Musicale of Detroit. In recognition of this, the Detroit Waldorf School is initiating the “Dina Soresi Winter Concert Series” in her honor, utilizing performing members of Tuesday Musicale.

This will be an audience-friendly program with arias and songs by Handel, Verdi, Rossini , H. Wade Johnson and Gilbert & Sullivan. Also on the program will be a eurthmy performance to a cello transcription of Dvorak’s “Song to the Moon” from his opera “Rusalka”.

Performers include: Bonnie L. Brooks (Soprano); Dorothy Duensing (Mezzo-Soprano); Claudia Fontana (Eurythmy); Doris Hall (Piano); James Rose, Jr. (Bass); Merritt Taylor (Cello).
