Family Trick-Or-Treat Halloween Event at Brighton Comfort Care

Candy, costumes, and cookies: A recipe for sweet fall memories! Comfort Care Senior Living recently announced a family friendly Halloween event on October 28, 2023 from 2-5pm at their 1320 Rickett Road Brighton, Michigan location. The senior community will offer trick-or-treating, costume contests, and more.

The event features:

• Over 35 stops for candy, moving safely door-to-door throughout the building
• Costume contest with prizes
• Games, goodie bags, and cookie decorating
• Family friendly Halloween movie
• Halloween-themed photo op
• Complimentary tote bags for candy.

This event is about offering residents a chance “to feel a part of the community that they’ve grown up in,” said Lauren Martin, Community Relations Director at Brighton Comfort Care.

Ron Wiedbusch, a former principal from Eastern Michigan and current resident of Brighton Comfort Care, inspired the upcoming event. “You can make the holiday spooky or scary,” he said, “or you can make it a festival where you’re sharing memories, making memories, and also teaching how to give back.” He greatly anticipates the upcoming event at Brighton Comfort Care explaining, “It’s not just for candy, it’s not just for cider, it’s for bringing groups together, keeping people in touch with their families and their community.” When thinking forward to the parade of trick-or-treaters coming he shared, “It’s just exciting to know that there are going to be memories made that will be passed down for generations to come.”
