Under the baton of guest conductor Travis Cook, the Troy Metro Symphony Orchestra is pleased to present a spring concert at Highland Park Baptist Church on March 31st at 7:00 PM. The repertoire will reflect our theme: “Awake! Anthems of New Life” … with classical & sacred selections tying together the spring season and new life found in Christ. We will also have special guest composer/arranger Tim Parsons conduct his fresh, innovative arrangement of the hymn “It is Well With My Soul.” Other concert selections include:
Church Festival Overture – Otto Nicolai;
Sleepers, Awake – J.S. Bach;
I Shall Know Him, hymn;
2 Songs without Words – Gustav Holst;
Procession of the Nobles – Rimsky-Korsakov;
On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring – Frederick Delius;
Dvořák Symphony No. 8, Allegro con brio.
