Silents at the Senate Presents: Faust (1926) at the Senate Theater

The Senate Theater celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the Senate Theater’s Grand Opening showing the Centennial Encore of F. W. Murnau’s “Faust” (1926). The film draws on older traditions of the legendary tale of Faust as well as on Goethe’s classic 1808 version. The demon Mephisto has a bet with an Archangel that he can corrupt a righteous man’s soul and destroy in him what is divine. If he succeeds, the Devil will win dominion over earth. Live organ accompaniment by Stephen Warner

Parking is available in our gated lot on Gilbert Street, behind the theater. Tickets are $15.00.
