Jill Jack’s magical connection to her audience is the result of her generous artistry. By combining her gifts as a conceptual visionary with a warm gathering of musical influences, Jill touches that secret heart of ours with her melodies and lyrics. In her hometown of Detroit, Jill needs no further explanation. She’s been lauded with 40+ Detroit Music Awards in every conceivable category that applies to a singer-songwriter. Touring the world to share the music she has written (10 award-winning CDs under her belt) Jill Jack has decided to venture where her heart has been calling: the jazz world.

With the help of her very talented bandmates, Jill will be swimming in a pool of music that her parents introduced her to at a young age – The American Songbook. She’ll be backed by drummer Ron Pangborn; keyboardist Dale Grisa; bassist John Barron; and guitarist Kriz Kurzawa.

Seven years ago, we (Cal & Whitney Stone – 2 Stones Events) came up with a new live music series – Kittens & Crooners – to celebrate the music and style of our country’s classic jazz singers like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Lena Horne, Tony Bennett, and Rosemary Clooney. The four shows we held in 2016 at the Tipping Point Theater in Northville went over so well that we continued presenting live jazz at that venue until the pandemic put a halt to indoor concerts. (Don’t worry, we’ll be doing more shows at the Tipping Point.)

In early 2022, we revived Kittens & Crooners in another intimate venue that’s perfect for this type of performance — the lower level of Ciao Amici’s restaurant in downtown Brighton. We’ve added shows to make this a full concert series with room to grow!
