Ken Ludwig’s Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood

Monroe County Community College Division of Humanities and Social Sciences presents
Ken Ludwig’s Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood
April 4-6, 2025
La Z Boy Center, Meyer Theater
1555 S. Raisinville Road, Monroe
7:30 pm Friday and Saturday, 2 pm Sunday.
Packed with thrills, romance, laughter, and immortal characters like Little John, Friar Tuck, and Maid Marian, Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood tells the enduring story of a hero of the people who takes on the ruthless powers that be.
The legend of Robin Hood first became popular in England around the 14th and 15th centuries, via a series of poems and ballads. It was later shaped into a more familiar version by Hollywood, including the 1938 film starring Errol Flynn and Disney’s animated retelling in 1973. Its endurance serves as a reminder that ordinary people can make a difference – that we should fight for justice, protect the vulnerable, and above all, never give up hope for a better world.
