Detroit Theatre Collective Hosts New York Production of Heisenberg
A production of Simon Stephens’ play, directed by Oscar winner Mercedes Ruehl, will play for two nights in southwest Detroit this June.
A chance encounter between two strangers in a London train station sets off a chain of events that defy logic and expectation, leading them into an exhilarating, life-changing relationship.
Detroit Theatre Collective is thrilled to present Heisenberg, directed by Tony and Oscar award-winning Mercedes Ruehl, fresh from a New York run produced by New Music Theatre Project & Rapeteta Theatre Company. The sure-to-be-provocative two-night fundraising event for DTC will be held at Matrix Theatre in southwest Detroit.
Written by Tony Award-winning playwright Simon Stephens (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time), Heisenberg is an extraordinary play that explores the terrifying, exhilarating nature of human connection. The intimate performance will feature Detroit native T.M. Rawlins as Georgie Burns and Michael S. Horowitz as Alex Priest.
Doors will open at 7pm on Friday June 6th and Saturday June 7th. Wine, cheese, and mingling from 7:00pm — 7:45pm; performance begins at 8:00pm. The show runs for 85 minutes.
