Sunday April 23rd at 7pm in Grosse Pointe’s Our Lady Star of the Sea, DSO violinist and Grosse Pointe Symphony Orchestra Music Director Joseph Striplin leads the ensemble with fellow DSO violinists Jiamin Wang and Gregory Staples. Wang plays Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3 and concertmaster Staples is featured in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. 90.9’s Peter Whorf will attempt to play a few notes from stand four of the violin section and Davis Gloff gives the pre-concert talk.
