Life shapes music; music reflects life. Join the Rochester Symphony Orchestra on Friday, May 30 in a concert of “Cultural Infusion.” Maestro Zeljko Milicevic has shaped a concert around works inspired by life events or reflective particularly of American culture. The evening begins with Jean Sibelius’ “Finlandia,” crafted to express Finnish opposition to Russian dominance. Youth is not to be overlooked. Cameron Renshaw, 13-year-old cellist and winner of the RSO’s 2025 Young Artist Competition, performs the 4th movement of Elgar’s cello concerto.
