Chamber Music at the Scarab Club is thrilled to present the final event of its 25th season in Detroit’s historic Scarab Club. CMSC will feature some of Detroit’s finest chamber musicians, most of whom have performed on the series in the past and are generously donating their talents for this performance to help raise funds for the future and to celebrate the past. Young musicians from The Tuesday Musicale of Detroit will also perform.
The program will take place on two floors of the beautiful Scarab Club, with performances upstairs in the Lounge Gallery, taking advantage of the Club’s 1870’s Pleyel piano; downstairs in the Main Gallery; and if weather permits, outside in the stunning courtyard garden! The audience can move around the building or stay put in one spot, since the performances will occur one at a time and the music will be audible from all spaces. Come celebrate with the musicians and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of chamber music, including early music, Brahms, Hindemith, Beethoven, Elgar and much more.
As always, each piece will be introduced by one of the musicians. Refreshments will be served throughout the afternoon.
