The Ann Arbor Concert Band concludes its 44th concert season in outstanding fashion. Artistic Director and Conductor David Leach steps to the podium presenting, “A John Williams Celebration”, highlighting the imagination and musical genius of one of the world’s greatest composers. Thrill to symphonic works from the haunting “Adventures on Earth from ET the Extra Terrestrial”, the exhilarating “The Cowboys”, awe-inspiring “Jurassic Park Soundtrack Highlights”, the dynamic “Star Wars Trilogy” and more!
We are thrilled to welcome Ryo Morita, our 2023 Andrew J. Lum & David R. Juillet Young Artist Scholarship Winner. Ryo, a senior from Ann Arbor Pioneer High School, will perform the “Concerto for Trumpet in F minor, Op. 18”, by Oskar Böhme. This year Ryo also won the Ann Arbor Pioneer Concerto Competition and the MSBOA Concerto Soloist Competition. We look forward to sharing the stage with this very talented musician.
